MDP 307 Modeling and Simulation of Dynamic Systems and Robots (4+2)

MDP 310 Forming Technology (3+2)

Flow curve determination and uses – Study of forming processes: fine blanking and contour forming, deep drawing, drawing of wires, drawing of bars and tubes, extrusion and rolling- The study includes: affecting factors, force estimation , energy required for forming, heat treatment and surface treatment of the products, engineering of the used tools, product defects and its probable causes – Forming machines – Study of: mechanical presses, hydraulic presses and hammers – The study includes: Effect of stiffness on machine performance, nominal forces and available energies, ram displacement and velocity – The study includes also the selection of the appropriate machine.

MEP 315 -1 Thermal and Hydraulic Machines (2+2)

Theory of turbomachines, one dimensional flow in turbomachines, hydraulic turbines, steam and gas turbines, compressors, pumps – Real cycles of internal combustion engines, spark ignition engines, compression ignition engines, engine performance, principles of power increase.

MEP 315-2 Heat Transfer and Air Conditioning (2+2)

Heat transfer: different modes of heat transfer, conduction, free and forced convection, radiation – Finned surfaces – Heat exchangers.

Air conditioning: Mechanical vapor – Compression refrigeration cycles – Principles of psychrometry – Air conditioning load, systems and cycles, industrial ventilation and air conditioning equipment.

ELE 312 Electrical Power, Machines and Electronics (2+2)

MDP 443 Mechanics of Polymeric and Composite Structures (4+0)
